Tagline Ideas for 'Vanity'

  • 'Reflecting on my reflection'
  • 'Reflecting on your reflection'
  • 'Mirror, mirror on the wall…'
  • 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'
  • 'Beauty vs The Beast'
  • 'Looks can be deceiving'
  • 'Dig Deeper, This Winter'
  • 'Take a closer look at yourself'
  • 'Have you ever seen yourself? I mean really seen yourself?'
Within our group, we have come up with a range of tag lines that we will consider and build on to use on our film poster for 'Vanity'. All these tag lines fit in with our theme/genre of the film e.g. vanity/romance, and they suggest a bit about what the film involves and gives a flavour of the film for our target audiences. We also think that our tag lines that we have come up with all come in relation to targeting different age ranges within our target audience.

    Research
    • The evaluation for the trailer recreation is simply a Prezi with the questions and no answers. This needs to be completed.
    • Magazine codes and conventions – you could add some analysis of the type of stories featured on the front cover (cover line text) and the type of language used.
    • Film Pitches – you need some form of explanation for this post. Explain the video and the reason for the survey (e.g. what you are going to do with the results).
    • Survey Results – you need a conclusion that outlines your decision as to what film you have decided to make and why.
    • Trailer narratives – you have looked at three films. I think it would be beneficial for you to provide some commentary on how your findings will influence the narrative of your own trailer. It would also be beneficial to see you applying these findings to your own trailer concept. You also appear to have posts on narrative that include the same information – you should combine this to make something more cohesive.
    • Audience Profile for ‘Her’ – I think your psychographic groups are off. I don’t think this was aimed at ‘mainstreamers’ or ‘strugglers’ – I think the concept is a little too abstract for these groups. You are looking more at ‘explorers’ and maybe ‘reformers’.
    • Target audience – you should be stating who your market are and how you have come to this conclusion (e.g. link to research).
    Planning
    • Animatic storyboard – empty post
    • Script – seems short. It should incorporate not just the dialogue but also the action. I would suggest creating a second draft with more detail and commentary about what you have changed etc…
    • Wardrobe – you should really have some commentary/reasoning behind decisions made and intended impact on the audience.
    • Audience feedback on storyboard – this requires some form of reflection. What purpose does the feedback serve? How will it influence your work?
OVERALL – level 3 (13/20). You have more planning posts than research. Your time management has not always been good and this affects your mark. You need to ensure you are seen to be using lesson time effectively – this can be rectified with renewed focus from this point on. You should make the above amendments and finish work outlined (incomplete posts suggest poor time management). Be aware of making links between your research and your own work. You should also undertake further research into the genre and establishing codes and conventions. You have not submitted a first draft poster and magazine.
